Writers from the University of Plymouth will talk about how poetry has been read and written during the ongoing pandemic, providing inspiration and solace, and a way for people around the world to interact during periods of lockdown.
Poetry and COVID-19 is an international research project led by the University of Plymouth and Nottingham Trent University exploring responses to the COVID-19 pandemic by poets. The project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council includes editing an anthology of 30 poets (15 UK / 15 other countries) responding to COVID-19, and an accompanying interactive website enabling collective public participation/engagement with poetry.
